Unlock the Power of Pixels: Transform Data into Discoveries at the SynchroMage Hackathon

Sign up for a hackathon on 3D tomography and visualisation for Earth's hidden treasures, organised by the ECL theme.

When: 22-23 October, 2024

Where: at LINXS (Scheelevägen 19, Lund), workshop room on the 5th floor, and VR Lab, IKDC, Klas Anshelms väg 20, Lund

Description: Join us for the SynchroMage Hackathon, a two-day event dedicated to image processing and visualization. Designed specifically for early-career researchers, but everyone is welcome. This hackathon provides a unique platform to transform data into discoveries.

Day 1 focuses on cutting-edge image processing and image analysis techniques, offering hands-on sessions to explore the latest in synchrotron 3D microtomography. Day 2 dives into immersive visualization technologies, including 3D rendering, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality enabling participants to bring small-scale geological and archaeological samples to life. Unlock the secrets hidden in the micro-scale world and drive the future of scientific research!

Who should attend: Anyone interested in image processing of tomographic datasets, within the fields of environmental, geological, and archaeological sciences is welcome. Priority will be given to PhD students and early-career researchers
