Welcome to LINXS Young Researchers’ Symposium – Life Sciences!
On 13th March, the first ever Young Researchers’ Symposium within Life Sicences will be held at LINXS. It is the first in a series, and the aim is to create a platform for early career researchers within life sciences working on X-rays and neutrons to meet, get inspired, establish networks, and discuss new ideas for their research.
The programme has a focus on presenting topics in life sciences which have been developed and explored using x-ray and neutrons techniques. The event is targeted at PhD:s and post-doctoral fellows, no matter if they work in academia or industry, both at Lund University and other organisations, in any scientific field that could be relevant for life sciences.
– We hope the day will present an opportunity to get new insights into how to use different techniques. It might spark ideas on how to expand your own research into different areas. We also hope it could be a first step to encourage new collaborations and networks, says Daniel Sarabi, post-doctoral fellow at LINXS.
He continues:
– As a PhD, you are on the look-out for post-doctoral funding opportunities, and as a post-doctoral fellow, you are eager to develop research ideas that can turn into more permanent research funding. By meeting regularly, we can help each other, and also build up important competence within the area of life sciences, in connection to MAX IV and ESS.
The event is organised by LINXS in collaboration with MAX IV.
