How many seminar rooms do you have?
We have two seminar rooms with space for 50 people in each room. The rooms can also be joined into one large room and seat 100 people.
What other space do you have?
We have two spacious meeting rooms with seating for ten and fourteen people respectively. In addition, we have two smaller informal meeting rooms, with space for about two to three people each.
Can you work at The Loop?
Yes, there is an ambulating number of about six to eight desks (hot-desking) open to LINXS Fellows and partners, as well as researchers visiting LINXS or the infrastructures MAX IV and ESS. Our main priority is that researchers working with X-ray and neutron related science use the space. If you are interested in this offer, please contact shandana.mufti@linxs.lu.se.
Is LINXS’ door open?
Yes, it is open between 09.00 and 16.00. Before 09.00 and after 16.00 you must knock on the door to enter our premises, and after 17.00 you can either enter The Loop by using a key card, provided by LINXS administration, or by using the touch pads outside the building, located at Rydbergs torg 4 and Mesongatan 4.
Are there food facilities at LINXS?
Yes! Of course! We have a spacious kitchen area with several microwaves, and beside the seminar rooms we have a seating area for about 50 people. We also have a coffee station with hot coffee always on the go!
Does LINXS have outdoor space one can use too?
Yes! We have access to not just one but two balconies! One is facing the ESS, the other one is at the rear of the building.
Can you rent the premises at LINXS?
Yes, you can organise hosted events at LINXS. Just contact our events coordinator Shandana Mufti: shandana.mufti@linxs.lu.se. Be sure to book early as our space is often booked for several months in advance. It is also important to note that LINXS only offers the space, not any administrative or technical support in relation to hosted events.
How do you get to LINXS?
You can get to LINXS in many ways, with the tram being the most convenient if you are not driving. Please note that there is no parking available at The Loop.
