Final agenda will be published soon

Title: MEDSI Parallel Workshop on Sample Environments for Synchrotron X-ray Imaging: Design and Commissioning
When: 15 September, 2025, 13:00-17:00*
*The MEDSI Welcome Reception will take place from 17:00 to 19:00, and participants of this workshop are invited to attend.
Where: LINXS, The Loop, Rydbergs torg 4, Lund
Organiser: AIDA theme, MAX IV

About the event

This workshop aims to bridge the gap between beamline and mechanical engineers who design sample environments, and the scientists who commission and use them during applied synchrotron X-ray imaging experiments.

Confirmed speakers

  • Niklas Lorén, RISE, "Structural formation during bread baking in a combined microwave-convective oven determined by sub-second in-situ synchrotron X-ray microtomography"

  • Shuai Bai, Lund University and Jonas Engqvist, Lund University (combined talk), "Investigating the dynamics of freeze-drying and annealing using in-situ Synchrotron X-ray microtomography"

  • Artur Domingues, MAX IV, "3D printing plastics for Sample Environments: Special materials and vacuum compatibility"

  • Roland Kadar, Chalmers Institute of Technology, "Rheology and X-ray scattering"
