Workshop Food Interaction on Surfaces - Northern Lights on Food

Welcome to a workshop with the Food Interaction on Surfaces working group within the Northern Lights on Food theme.

When: Wednesday April 19, 09:00 - 15.00 CET including lunch and mingle.

Registration deadline: April 13, 2023. After that date we cannot guarantee lunch.
A no-show fee of 200 SEK will be charged in case of non participation without prior notification.
Where: at LINXS (Scheelvägen 19, Lund), 5th floor.

Who can benefit from participation: Representatives from food industry, research fellows from universities, Max IV and ESS that all share an interest in advancing the understanding of the interactions between processing and packaging surfaces, food, fouling and microorganisms.

Goals:

  • Create contacts and initiate collaborations: industry – university – LINXS – MAX IV & ESS

  • Share challenges and solutions

  • Advance understanding of the interactions between processing & packaging surfaces and food/microorganisms

  • Tetra Pak: Metal corrosion and biofilm formation on food processing surfaces (Martin Adell and Birgitta Svensson, Tetra Pak Processing Solutions & Equipments AB, Lund)

  • Chemical Engineering, LTH & Alfa Laval: New insights on membrane fouling and cleaning (Frank Lipnizki and Gregor Rudolph-Schöpping, Department of Chemical Engineering, Lund University).
